Administrative Assistant

An Administrative Assistant’s primary responsibility is to service the department and/or group of individual members of a department that the Administrative Assistant is dedicated to. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting our team in communication with the legal claimants (e.g. heirs, estate representatives, etc.) of a deceased account owner’s asset. This position will require an energetic, well-organized and detail-oriented individual able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position is based out of our Corporate office in New York, NY. 

Duties:  Include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Scan and attach legal claimant documents to records.
  • Maintain daily production goals and deadlines consistent with department standards.
  • Hand-folding of some outbound mail.
  • Prepare and mail post cards.
  • Prepare and mail letters.
  • Accepting packages and routing them to the mailroom.
  • Prepare and mail agreements.
  • Perform general clerical duties, (i.e., copy, fax, file, sort correspondence) on a daily basis.

Qualifications:

  • Entry Level - Bachelor’s Degree, or the equivalent of education and experience.
  • Paralegal experience a plus.
  • MS Word Proficient.
  • MS Excel Proficient.
  • Knowledge of Estate Laws and Vital Records a plus.
  • Strong work ethic, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective time and prioritization management.
  • Punctuality is a must.
